Returning as Artistic Director, Elhaida Dani has confirmed that the 28 competing songs are set to be released in November, earlier than in previous years. The aim is to give viewers more time to get to know their favourites before the live shows.

Festivali i Këngës 64 will take place from December 17 to December 20 at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana. This year’s format will feature performances from all competing acts across two semi-finals, followed by a nostalgia night and the Grand Final, which will crown FiK's winner and determine Albania’s next Eurovision representative.

Last year’s Eurovision saw the duo Shkodra Elektronike represent Albania with 'Zjerm', which reached the Grand Final in Basel, finishing 8th overall with 218 points. That was Albania’s best result and first top 10 finish since 2012.
