Artists, composers, and authors have until 3 October 2025 to submit their entries. Applications can be sent via email or delivered directly to the RTCG Archive. Alongside the final version of their song, applicants must also provide lyrics, performer biographies, and details about the creative team.
A professional jury will later review all submissions and shortlist the entries that will compete in the live televised final of Montesong 2025. The exact date of the show is yet to be confirmed, but it will be broadcast live across all RTCG platforms.

RTCG’s organizing team highlighted the cultural value of the competition:
“Montesong is not just a music competition, it is a festival of creativity that gives new momentum to the domestic and regional scene. We want to hear new voices, but also to provide space for established musicians to show how rich and innovative the Montenegrin scene is.”
