JESC 2025: Asja Džogović wil represent Montenegro in Tbilisi

Asja Džogović has been chosen to represent Montenegro at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which will be held in Tbilisi. The announcement was confirmed by national broadcaster Radio i televizija Crne Gore (RTCG) this wednesday, September 3.

At 13 years old, Asja is an eighth-grader at the Risto Ratković Elementary School in Bijelo Polje, a city in northern Montenegro. She has won multiple music awards at national and regional festivals. In her free time, she enjoys painting and playing volleyball, but music is her greatest passion.

Asja spoke to RTCG about how she feels ahead of the contest:

"I am looking forward to representing my country, Montenegro, at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Georgia. I am proud, but at the same time I feel a great responsibility. I will do my best to present my country in the best possible way, as I have done so far. I believe in myself, my authors, and I am sure that I will continue the series of successes that I have achieved at prestigious festivals in the region. This is another great challenge for me, the biggest one so far, but I believe that we will achieve significant success in Georgia as well."

The expert committee, consisting of Stana Salgo (editor of the music program of the Montenegrin Broadcasting Company) as president, Branka Banović (editor of the music editorial office of TVCG), and Igor Pejović (editor of the youth editorial office of TVCG), reviewed young performers aged 9 to 14, focusing on achievements, vocal skills, stage presence, and live performance. They unanimously decided to select Asja.

Montenegro is returning to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest after a ten-year break. Its last representative was Jana Mirković in 2015 with the song 'Oluja', which placed 13th with a total of 36 points.
