Romania: Antonio Pican and WRS complete the line-up for Selecția Națională 2026

Following the announcement of the wildcard voting for Selecția Națională 2026, the line-up is now complete. Antonio Pican and WRS round out the roster of artists competing in Romania’s national selection.

Romanian broadcaster TVR had previously confirmed the ten pre-selected finalists for the final stage of Selecția Națională. These acts emerged from an extensive live audition process held at the TVR studios before a jury panel.

Initially, only one act was expected to join the list of contestants. However, according to the broadcaster, Antonio Pican and WRS received the highest number of views on TVR’s official YouTube channel, with a “considerable difference” compared to the remaining three.

TVR emphasised the “high interest of the fans for the two songs” after curating a dedicated playlist featuring the five eligible entries, with the song receiving the most views advancing to the final. The contestants were Antonio Pican with ‘Humans’, WRS with ‘All the Way’, Alexa & Aria Moon with ‘IELE’, Impact with ‘Bengalo’, and Bogdan Medvedi with ‘Broken Heart’. Ultimately, ‘Humans’ and ‘All the Way’ secured the final two spots.

You can listen to the songs on TVR’s YouTube channel. The complete line-up is as follows:

Alejandro Zandes & Emil Rengle – ‘Bailando solo’

Alexandra Căpitănescu – ‘Choke Me’

Antonio Pican – ‘Humans’

Edward Maya x LavBbe x Costi – ‘Everybody Needs Somebody’
