Melodifestivalen 2026 kicked off this Saturday, 31 January, at the Saab Arena in Linköping, with the first six acts competing for a spot in the final in Stockholm. Based entirely on public vote, the first two finalists have now been confirmed, with another act advancing to the qualification round.
Following the live performances of tonight's contestants, the results of Heat 1 are as follows:
Finalists:
Greczula – 'Half of Me'
A*Teens – 'Iconic'
Advancing to the second-chance round:
Jacqline – 'Woman'
Acts that did not advance:
Noll2 – 'Berusade ord'
Junior Lerin – 'Copacabana Boy'
Indra – 'Beautiful Lie'
Heat 2 will take place on Saturday, 7 February, in Gothenburg, with six more acts hoping to follow in the footsteps of Greczula and A*Teens.
