North Macedonia has selected Ana Stojanoska as its representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026.
The announcement was made by Macedonian Radio Television (MRT), following an audition process that determined the country's participant for this year's contest in Malta. According to the broadcaster, a professional jury unanimously chose Ana after evaluating the performances of all candidates, highlighting her vocal abilities, stage presence and artistic potential.
The song that Ana will perform at Junior Eurovision 2026 was written and composed by Nikola Micevski, and the entry was selected through an open call for submissions, with the jury also reaching a unanimous decision in favour of Micevski's composition.
Nikola Micevski is a well-known composer, arranger and producer in North Macedonia, with an extensive career in the country's music industry. The lyrics have been penned by Ilcho Nechovski, a member of the Macedonian band Duper, who is recognised for his contemporary songwriting style and work as both an author and performer.
More details about North Macedonia's entry, including the song title and its official presentation, are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
North Macedonia becomes the fifth country to confirm its representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Earlier, Portugal selected Salvador Rio following his victory in The Voice Kids Portugal, Albania chose Eslin Kurti through Festivali Mbarëkombëtar i Këngës për Fëmijë, Georgia selected Davit Lomidze after winning Ranina, and Poland confirmed Wiktor Sas after his victory in The Voice Kids Poland.
The 24th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malta on 24 October 2026, marking the competition's return to the Mediterranean island for the first time since 2016.
