Portugal: Second semi-final completes Festival da Canção 2026 final line-up


Festival da Canção continued on Saturday evening, 28 February, with another eight acts taking the stage at the Valentim de Carvalho studios. The line-up for the Festival da Canção 2026 final is now complete.

After all eight acts had performed, the voting followed the same two-round format used in the first semi-final. The first round selected the four first finalists directly to the final, based on a split combination of jury and public voting. The fifth finalist of the night was determined in a second round, exclusively by televote, which was Gonçalo Gomes. The results of Semi-final 2 are as follows:

First finalists:

Silvana Peres – ‘Não Tem Fim’
Sandrino – ‘Disposto a Tudo’
Bandidos do Cante – ‘Rosa’
João Ribeiro – ‘Canção do Querer’

Advanced to the second round of voting:

Francisco Fontes – Copiloto’
Gonçalo Gomes – ‘Doce Ilusão’ (Final)
Inês Sousa – ‘Um filme ao Contrário’
Jacaréu & Ana Margarida – ‘O-pi-ni-ão’

The show was hosted by Filomena Cautela, Alexandre Guimarães and Catarina Maia. The second semi-final featured performances from 2021 winners The Black Mamba and 2023 runner-up Edmundo Inácio, performing past winning entries from Festival da Canção.

Festival da Canção 2026 will return next week with its grand final scheduled for 7 March. These acts will join the ones that qualified in the first semi-final:
