Das deutsche Finale 2026 took place this evening, with Sarah Engels winning the German national selection. The singer secured victory with the song ‘Fire’ after two rounds of voting.

Nine acts competed in 'Das deutsche Finale' 2026, with the results determined through a two-stage voting process. In the first round, decided entirely by a professional jury, three entries advanced to the superfinal. The winner was then chosen exclusively by the public.

Once all votes were counted, Sarah Engels emerged as the winner with ‘Fire’, finishing ahead of Wavvyboi with ‘Black Glitter’ and Molly Sue with ‘Optimist (Ha Ha Ha)’, who also reached the final round of voting.

The winning entry was written by Dario Schürmann, Luisa Heinemann, Raphael Lott, Sarah Engels and Valentin Boes. Sarah Engels succeeds Abor & Tynna as the winner of the German national selection.
