Unlike previous years, the three live shows of Benidorm Fest 2026 will take place in February. The semi-finals are scheduled for the 10th and 12th, with the grand final set for 14 February.
The fifth edition of Benidorm Fest will introduce several changes. These include a renewed artistic direction from Sergio Jaén and an updated visual identity designed by Iñaki San Juan. The televised shows will also include new presenters with Jesús Vázquez, Javier Ambrossi, Inés Hernand and Lalachus.
One of the most significant additions is a €150,000 cash prize. The prize money will be shared between the performers and songwriters of the winning entry, while publishing rights will remain with the authors.
Alongside the prize money, there’s a new take on an old thropy. After the ‘bronze microphone’ that has been awarded to all winner for the past four years, the ‘Sirenita de Oro’ (“Golden Mermaid”) returns, since it was traditionally awarded to the winner of the Benidorm International Song Festival.
Other awards and partnerships will also be introduced this year. These include the Spotify Award, which gives the winning artist the chance to record a Spotify single in Stockholm, as well as a renewed collaboration with Univision, through which one participant will travel to the United States to record a single with a Latin music producer.
This year the Palau d'Esports l'Illa stage will also include performances from past winners Chanel, Blanca Paloma and Nebulossa.
