Following a nationwide talent search in which hundreds of young performers auditioned for a panel of judges on Ireland’s selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Lottie O’Driscoll Murray was crowned the winner and will represent Ireland in Tbilisi on 13 December.
Lottie has been performing for as long as she can remember. From taking the stage at the Cork Opera House to appearing on the Late Late Toy Show, the 14-year-old has already been charming audiences across the country. She often uses her voice to help raise funds for charities in and around her hometown of Cork.
Her song hasn't been released yet, but we do know it's called 'Rúin' (Secrets). It will be an Irish-language ballad, an apparently perfect fit, given how she draws inspiration from old-school vocal powerhouses like Whitney Houston.
The occasion marks a winning return for Lottie, who reached the final stage of Junior Eurovision Éire 2024, narrowly missing out to Enya Cox Dempsey, who went on to represent Ireland in Madrid. The teenager from Cork now steps into the spotlight as the country’s representative for a special milestone: Ireland’s 10th anniversary in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
