Georgia has revealed its entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026, with Davit Lomidze releasing his song ‘Sun on the Rooftops’ and its official music video.
The 10-year-old singer will represent Georgia at the 24th edition of Junior Eurovision, taking place on 24 October at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali, Malta.
‘Sun on the Rooftops’ is performed almost entirely in Georgian, with parts of the lyrics in Italian. The song was composed by Giga Kukhianidze, while the lyrics were written by Irina Sanikidze.
Davit comes from the Georgian city of Gori and has been involved in singing and dance from a young age. He spent three years attending classes in both disciplines before performing at a number of concerts and festivals.
His biggest achievement so far came through the Georgian national singing competition Ranina. Davit won the competition, earning the opportunity to represent Georgia at Junior Eurovision 2026.
Outside music, the young singer enjoys playing football and computer games. He describes music as his main passion and continues to develop his skills in singing and performance.
Georgia has won Junior Eurovision four times, in 2008, 2011, 2016 and 2024. Its most recent victory came in 2024 with Andria Putkaradze and 'To My Mom'. Georgia currently shares the record for most Junior Eurovision wins with France, which also has four victories.
