JESC 2026: Harry Georgiou to represent Cyprus

Cyprus has selected Harry Georgiou as its representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026, set to take place in Malta on October 24th.

The 13-year-old singer was unveiled by Cypriot broadcaster CyBC during its prime-time news bulletin on Monday and his competition song will be revealed at a later date.

Harry emerged victorious from a selection process that attracted 209 applications. Following several rounds of auditions, 45 young performers reached the final stage before the jury ultimately chose Harry to represent the country. His entry will mark Cyprus' 12th participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Originally from Enfield, North London, Harry trains at the award-winning Platinum Performing Arts and recently received the Best Vocal award in a national competition.

Despite his young age, Harry already has extensive stage experience. Between 2024 and 2025, he portrayed Gavroche in Les Misérables at London's Sondheim Theatre, before taking on the role of Michael Hobbs in Elf: The Musical at the Aldwych Theatre.

Speaking about the opportunity, Harry said he is excited to take the next step in his career and is looking forward to performing on the international Junior Eurovision stage.
