Sweden: Full line-up for Melodifestivalen 2026 revealed

 


SVT has presented the 30 artists competing in Melodifestivalen 2026, confirming both the line-up and the heat allocations at a press conference held today in Stockholm, according to the broadcaster.

The 2026 edition marks the return of several recent favourites, including Medina and Smash Into Pieces, both repeat top-three finishers between 2022 and 2024. A number of 2025 debutants are also back immediately, among them Greczula, Vilhelm Buchaus, Meira Omar, Saga Ludvigsson and Arwin.

Two former winners join the field as well: Robin Bengtsson, who lifted the trophy in 2017, and Sanna Nielsen, returning to the competition for the first time since her 2014 victory. International fans may also recognise AleXa, the champion of the 2022 American Song Contest

The tour will span six cities before reaching its conclusion at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm on 7 March. The winner will earn the right to represent Sweden at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna.
