‘Rosa’, performed by Bandidos do Cante, won the Festival da Canção 2026 after securing the highest combined score from the regional juries and the public televote.
The group received 10 points from the regional juries and 12 points from the televote, which together guaranteed victory under the festival’s 50/50 voting system.
During the jury voting, João Ribeiro emerged as the favourite of the regional panels with the song ‘Canção do Querer’. However, the entry received just 2 points from the televote, which significantly affected its final standing once the public vote was added.
With the final result determined by the equal combination of jury and televote scores, Bandidos do Cante ultimately rose to the top of the scoreboard, securing the trophy with ‘Rosa’.
