Portugal: First finalists chosen at Semi-Final 1 of Festival da Canção 2026

 


The first semi-final of Festival da Canção 2026 took place this saturday with eight acts competing for a place in the Grand Final. At the end of the voting, the first four finalists were revealed, while a fifth qualifier was decided exclusively by the public in a second round.

Following the combined votes of the jury and the public, four acts secured their direct qualification to the Final. The remaining four entries went through a second round of televoting, where one more finalist was chosen solely by viewers.

The results of Semi-final 1 are as follows:

First finalists:

Nunca Mates o Mandarim – 'Fumo'
Marquise – 'Chuva'
Dinis Mota – 'Jurei'
EVAYA – 'Sprint'

Advanced to the second round of voting:

André Amaro – 'Dá-me a tua mão'
Bateu Matou – 'Nos Teus Olhos'
AGRIDOCE – 'Onde Quero Estar'
Mário Marta – 'Pertencer'

The fifth finalist of the night, determined exclusively by televote following the second round, was André Amaro.

Festival da Canção 2026 will return next week with its second semi-final, where the remaining finalists will be selected.
