ESC 2026: Antigoni will represent Cyprus in Vienna

The Cypriot broadcaster CyBc shared some exciting news on Thursday, 6 November: Cyprus is the first country to announce its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, which will take place in Vienna.

The honour goes to Antigoni, who will be flying the Cypriot flag at next May’s Contest. Her entry will be revealed later.

As the first confirmed artist for Vienna 2026, Antigoni also has the privilege of premiering the intro videos for the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, which will be shared across Eurovision’s social media channels each time a new performer joins the lineup.

The accompanying music for these videos has been specially composed by Thomas Thurner, one of the writers behind Wasted Love — the winning entry from Basel 2025 that brought the Contest to Austria.
