JESC 2025: Meadow will represent the Netherlands with 'Freeze'

Meadow has won Junior Songfestival 2025 and will represent the Netherlands at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in November with the song 'Freeze'.

The national final took place on Saturday at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam, hosted by Stefania and Matheu, who previously represented the Netherlands at Junior Eurovision in 2016 and 2019.

Four acts competed for the ticket to the contest, with the result decided by an equal combination of votes from an expert jury (33%), a kids’ jury (33%) and the public (33%). Meadow emerged as the clear winner, scoring the maximum 36 points - 12 points from each voting group.

ICONIC finished second with 'Don’t Touch' (28 points), followed by Level Up in third with 'Rule the World' (27 points) and Coco & Tove in fourth with 'Strong Girl Summer' (26 points).

The expert jury included singers and songwriters Sera, Hannah Mae and Billy Dans, while the kids’ jury featured Veronika, runner-up of Junior Songfestival 2024, and Stay Tuned, who represented the Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2024 in Madrid, where they placed 10th with 'Music'.
